Our community prides itself on beautiful Cory Lake!  For the full enjoyment of lake acitivies, please keep in mind that the lake's restrictions were set so that all could enjoy various water activities: boating, fishing, water skiing, swimming, or relaxing on the beach.

Every boat owner is required to register their boats, personal watercraft, canoe, kayak, etc. at the POA office and get a CLI registration # before launching and using the boat on Cory Lake.  When registered owners will be given a disclosure to sign and a copy of the rules and regulations regarding boats.

The CL # must be prominently displayed on both the starboard and port sides of the boat on the forward half of the craft and not displayed next to the Florida registration number to avoid confusion.  The CL # must be clearly visible to passersby and people on the shore at all times.  Numbers must be in contrasting color to the color of the hull and trim.

SAFETY IS A TOP PRIORITY FOR THE RESIDENT USING CORY LAKE.
All Florida laws and Cory Lake Isles Deed Restrictions regarding watercraft safe operation must be observed when operating a boat on Cory Lake.  Safe operation of a boat on Cory Lake is defined as operating the boat in control at all times.  This means the sliding out turns, spinning, jumping wakes, speeding, racing and other "tricks" involving boats is not permitted under any circumstances.

Skiing and towing are limited to the area designated for skiing.  This area of the lake is defined as that section bounded by Cory Lake Drive, Bermuda Isle Drive and St. Lucia Isle Drive and the skiing area is limited to that area within orange buoys placed on the lake.  Entry to this portion of the lake is through the passageway between Bermuda Isle Drive and St. Lucia Isle Drive.  Maximum speed on the ski lake is 35mph.

Skiing is only allowed during the following hours:
May through August:  10am to 8pm
September through April: 10am to 6pm
Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving hours: 1pm to 4pm

MOST OF CORY LAKE IS A NO-WAKE ZONE.  This includes the area on the ski lake between the orange buoys and the shore.  By the standard of Florida Law (which applies on Cory Lake) NO-WAKE means "a minimum speed that will maintain steerageway."  Cory Lake Isles interprets that as DEAD SLOW with no visible movement of water behind the watercraft.  No watercraft may have anything under tow on the no-wake part of the lake.  Residents living off the ski lake must transport their towables and passengers in their watercraft to the ski lake.

Personal watercraft (aka jet skis) are permitted on Cory Lake at the discretion of the POA.  For the purposes of understanding the Deed Restrictions that apply to these particular vehicles, the Board considers that they are treated the same as ski boats with a skier or tuber in tow and restricted to the same hours as allowed for skiing.  Jet skis are subject to the same noise restrictions as all other boats and water vehicles and noise levels must not exceed (80) decibels on adjacent land.

All watercraft on the lake after sunset must have running lights.

There are many other regulations regarding watercraft operation on the lake.  Please refer to your deed restrictions for specific information.
