Historically, no borders were permitted in Cory Lake Isles.  Recently we’ve begun to allow borders on a case by case basis, but only if they meet certain criteria.  All borders are subject to review of the DRC BEFORE installation as per the Deed Restrictions.

1)      They are installed to solve a problem of mulch “leeching” from a planting bed.

2)      It matches the color and material of existing pavers and driveways

3)      It is low profile.   This means that after installed (with a reasonable amount of time allowed for grass and planting to grow back) it will not stick up higher than the height of the lawn or the plantings in the bed.

4)      It is permanently installed and is secured and buried in such a fashion that landscaping, mowing, and usual wear and tear will not dislodge the edging.   The side and top edges must be completely even and it must give the appearance of a continuing line.

5)      No edging is allowed between the sidewalk and the street.

6)      No edging is allowed along rear walkways to docks.
